Barak Ekshtein is an impact entrepreneur and environmental advocate, founder of the TONTOTON plastic credit program, and developer of solutions to treat hard-to-recycle plastic. For the past 18 years, Barak developed initiatives to reduce disposable plastics, promote public awareness of environmentally friendly products and services, and build a certified plastic credit system that treats non-recyclable plastics in the ocean-bound as part of Global Producer Responsibility (GPR). In addition, he is lecturing on CSR and Social-environmental entrepreneurship, recycling and “profit for impact” at business universities and leadership programs and promoting environmental transparency and education regarding non-recyclable plastics.

Mr. Florian Werthmann is founder and CEO of ECOLOGICON GmbH. As a thoroughbred entrepreneur, he started his activities in the waste and recycling sector in the early 2000s. He has been working under the slogan “Circular Economy and Consulting”, as a service provider, consultant, and entrepreneur in the sectors of WEEE, EPR schemes and systems and application of recycling technologies. He is skilled on expert level in the WEE/E-Scrap’s sector and is fostering circular economy projects with a focus on reuse, EPR and optimized treatment solutions. He is also active in numerous international industry federation and NGO working groups as well as member of board.

Mr. Om Sopheak has 15 years of experience in sanitation marketing implementation and management. Since starting with iDE in the Sanitation Marketing pilot project in 2009, Sopheak has gained a lot of experience and knowledge in leading and managing sales teams, supporting supply chains, and powering rural entrepreneurs to grow and sustain their businesses by selling toilets to rural households. Currently, Sopheak is the Implementation Manager of the GREEN Project, where iDE is adapting our Sanitation Marketing approach in the climate challenging environments of the East Tonle Sap Lake region, and the Waste Management Market Acceleration (WaMA) project, where iDE is adapting our sanitation marketing approach to increase access to waste collection services in rural Kampong Chhnang.

Dr. Alexandra Mandelbaum is a global development professional who has worked with nonprofits, foundations, and socially responsible companies. She is an experienced organisational leader who has worked in over 18 countries covering Africa, the Americas, and Asia. She brings significant knowledge of market-led development initiatives in private sector development, women’s economic empowerment, youth entrepreneurship, and the development of innovative approaches that integrate climate resilience, agri-food systems, and energy and water access to underserved communities. She is passionate about developing a country’s business ecosystem to support the growth of new sustainable enterprises. She holds a B.A. from Harvard University, an M.Phil from Cambridge University, an MBA from IESE, and a Ph.D. from New York University. A dual national (American and Spanish), Alexandra has significant experience in designing business cases and implementing interventions aligned to national and donor priorities.

He has led deal sourcing, strategic planning, incubation, coaching, due diligence, financing and portfolio management activities to support the creation, growth and empowerment of impact driven Enterprises initiatives, addressing pressing social and environmental issues.
Passionate about social justice, inclusion and sustainability, his strengths lie in his ability to develop disruptive strategies for both Small & Middle Enterprises and Multinational Corporations to direct their capabilities, expertise and technology to the establishment of new solutions to eradicate poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all.
Hassan graduated from Compiègne University of Technology with a Master of Science, double majoring in Engineering and Innovation Management. He also holds minors in Entrepreneurship, Sustainable Development, and Digital Economy.

Oskar Haq has been with Oxfam at a Global/Regional capacity since 2014. Currently he is honored to lead and manage Oxfam in Cambodia’s innovative Inclusive Green Economy and Finance (IGEF) Program which works at the intersectionality of Gender, Climate Change, Private Sector Development, Green Finance. Some of the projects include GRAISEA, CAPFISH, Block Rice, Impact SME (I-SME). With over 20 years’ experience in Finance, investment management and business development (Smith Barney/Citigroup NA and Morgan Stanley NA) Entrepreneurship (Education/ FNB Sector), MFI Marketing (Grameen Bank) Oskar is a true proponent of different models of Public Private Partnership for sustainable development not just in theory but primarily in practice, Oskar started out at Oxfam with the development of Oxfam’s Social Enterprise and Impact Investment program in Asia with the successful launch of Lanka Social Ventures (LSV) in Sri Lanka. Having grown up in New York, Oskar has lived and worked across highly diverse development and cultural contexts in Asia including South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Cambodia. He holds a master’s degree in development studies from the University of London (SOAS).
